I am a 4 knuckle, 5 pounds with a pinch of twork kind of door knocker!

The Book of Sister Thomas Chaper 5:1
"And now my beloved brothern, I would exhort ye to ask yourself what type of door knocker are ye? Do you knock with much vigor having exceeding faith they will answer or do ye knock with a faintness of heart?"
Sometimes I think I am funny... anyway one day I was noticing how I knock on doors as oppose to how S. Broderick does. And I always knock 5 times and she does 7 (7 seems a bit much for me) Then I started tying this back into the gospel and I was thinking how dedicated to the gospel are you. How much do you really want Christ in your life?  Do you knock once and leave? Do you stay until someone opens? Do you hope that when the door opens, it will be the one person who has been waiting for you? How dedicated to being a Christlike person are you? Anyway, just some thought I had. But seriously, ask yourself, "What type of door knocker am I? Is this something that I do out of routine or am I really devoted and hopeful about each door?
Well today marks my 2 months, wahoo! I am not sure if that went extremely fast or entirely too slow but nevertheless it's be a great 2 months. I am not really in a typing mood and I don't have a whole lot to say.... hmmm, this is a new feeling.... so let's see what comes out.
This past week has been full of many adventures of crazy stories. Started off by meeting with a nice man who claimed that he was Christ. It was definitely an interesting experience to say the least but I left asking myself the questions, " Do I really know who Christ is?" " Would I recognize him?"  As a representative of him and his gospel I better know him but do I really? After some deep contimplation and prayer I have come to the conclusion, I DO KNOW HIM. I know his doctrine. But I want to know him better! So with that said I am now going to spend some time studying the Savior more and really building a deeper relationship with him. So if you have any good talks or quotes or insights that you feel would be helpful in my studying I'd love to hear your insights and personal experiences with coming to know the savior on a deeper level.
Well we get the call for tranfers this week and I have been assigned to serve in.............. New Tampa. Ok, that's where I am right now anyway but I was adding dramatic effect. I am staying right here with S. Broderick but we are going to be in a threesome! We're are getting S. Lane who ironcially ( i think not) a red head as well. Three readhead in bikes and skirts. This is going to be a blast. We're going to set Tampa on FIRE! HA anyway I am really excited for this, it'll be really cool. She goes home soon so we have an experienced missionary, middle, and a brand spanking new one. Should be great!
Yesterday we had stake conference and that was cool. It was fun to be a missionary there because everyone looks at you and all the little kids come up and just adore you. I am adored, ha what can I say :) jk it is fun though. I remember being little and seeing missionaries, they were so cool. I talked to Stephen Southworth ( Jenni's Brother) and his family. It was cool to talk to him. It was weird to talk about someone who knows my family and hear about the new baby Taylor and how Jenni is doing.  He took a picture and said he would send it to Will and Jenni.
Well I better get going but I love you all. Have a wonderful first day of  school of my BYU friends! And if someone wanted to keep me updated on the football session, I definitely wouldn't be too dissappointed :)
Love,
Sister Thomas

Oh my goodness, what was your mission present thinking, three red heads together. This is going to be interesting.

Daniel once wrote home on his mission about a time when he was reading the general conference articles and all of a sudden he could hear President Gorden B Hinkley's voice. He then shared his Testimony about hearing the voice of Christ as he reads and reads his scriptures.

I can almost imagine the Savior's voice as I read the scriptures. Studying the New Testament is a great place to start. I love You.

Try reading Talmage's Jesus the Christ it will be really interesting but you might want a dictionary by your side. I am sure you know this but he wrote it while he was an apostle in an upper room in the Salt Lake Temple by special assignment by the Prophet!

Personally, I like personal prayer and revelation mixed with lots of scripture study. However, there are many good paths to follow. Getting there is all that matters.
